Modem on SMUC
ZXNet echo conference «hardware.zx»
From Stanislav Yudin → To All 22 August 2002
Hello everyone!
After I switched the modem (unnamed rocker on 14400) to COM2,
Melon started working in terminal mode, I can call anywhere, etc. I already
I was delighted. However, I can't start any mailer :(
1. The postal office in Melon blatantly hangs itself with the inscription HanUp, responding only to
BREAK by blinking the curb and to RESET.
2. NAM is generally discarded (the config was incorrect). I only have time
look at the line before resetting or freezing modem init, and also it
The indicators in the lower right corner have time to blink.
When I enable auto-dialing in Melon, Melon behaves similarly to point 1.
I also changed the port lock in different ways.
What should I do? I want a working modem on Spec!
I haven't had time to send this letter yet. I decided to use another modem (SAMSUNG 14400 on
CirrusLogic) insert. So with this modem Melon started working in mailer mode during
In any case, he calls and connects, and NAM still resets. Melon
when it connects it writes the connection speed, and then throws all sorts of garbage onto the screen
after which it is reset. My file doesn't even try to send.
How can I start a mailer? What can be done with the previous modem?
Stanislav

Hello, All!
It was with great sorrow that I managed to send the mail. To do this I had to make a hole
port for 2400, otherwise nothing works :( Another modem for 19200
connects, but when entering the Melon mailer it says HangUp and that’s it. How is it all
overcome?
Best regards,
Stanislav Yudin.

Maybe I just got it broken...

NA>> Go to is-dos - the best solution, besides, you have a screw
SC> If only there was a good description of how to configure everything there.

Well, what’s not clear about it? Register paths and addresses in the config.
This is enough if you call manually. If you want
automation, then I advise you to read the configs from Xenia-Mailer - by

SC> This is where the inconvenience lies.
Write yourself a batch file, which will be sent automatically after the session
send you a tr-dos email and launch the editor in tr-dos - that’s business
for a couple of minutes. Then you can manually copy it back to is-dos and
launch the soaper.

At least with the log for sure, I can’t guarantee it will be bug-free.
P.S. There is no soaper in it, but in general if you need a soaper, it’s better than a wild one in isdos IMHO
there is nothing on Spec.

The to_trdos.com copier and driver #0R+MOA.blk that I patched

In soap.

Why not immediately copy the image? Driver #0R+MOA
knows how to work with mounted tr-dos disks.
By the way, it also works in the other direction, only through a copier
from_trd.com.
