It is unlikely that there is anything other than plastic in the adapter. Therefore,
Most likely, the mouse's potential on its feet determines whether it should be USB or PS/2. Although
who needs PS/2 today...

Hello, Mikka_A
afaik, a set of wiring. And the controller inside the mouse adapts to the interface
automatically.

Besides plastic there are only wires.
USB/PS/2 auto switching functionality is built into mouse controllers.

Hello, All
Thought.
I went here to buy a mouse the other day. The most simple one, Zhenius netscroll ah.
I wanted a petse-popol, but there was none.
There was only a USB one. But the kit included an adapter for PC/2.
Hence the question - is the adapter a set of wiring, or does it have something inside it?
Is it worth the buffer?
And so - why not attach a USB mouse then....

It’s just that I have a lot of “mothers” of USB devices (as well as devices), but I almost don’t have a PS2....

Keyboard; any AT with connectors: DIN-5, miniDIN-6 (PS/2) or USB with
adapter for PS/2.
