Hello, All I need a diagram of a joystick for msx2 or a mouse for this device. To connect joysticks on the muzzle there are 2 dsab 9 connectors. There seems to be a pinout - but nothing works using the dry contact method :( please help :) By the way, if anyone has a hard drive controller in the cartridge slot, it turns out not to be (we’ll discuss) even an empty etched board is suitable (with wired rum if you have it) in the diagram)

Hello, geners Still, there must be “dry contacts” for the common one. Sega joystick almost works MD2/Genesis - without modification with only one button. Protocol information there are mice here: http://www.faq.msxnet.org/connector.html

Hello, m.d. I had a spec Synthesis 2M joystick that came with it worked on MSX2 without any modifications.

Hello dhau dha> PS; Maybe; nothing works for you, because... ports burned short dha> young experimenters with closure. I was like that myself in 1990. When will you post the diagram from Synthesis?

Hello, m.d. then m.d. the first thing I did was look at the pinout of segf and msx - did it - unpashel, the cursor just goes to the lower right corner and that’s it

Hello, geners gen> then m.d. gen> gen> the first thing I did was look at the pinout of segf and msx - I did it - gen> is unpasted, the cursor just goes to the lower right corner and that's it You need a joypad not from a 16-bit SEGA MegaDrive, but from an 8-bit SEGA Master System (SMS). I personally used pads from SMS, everything works great (+, A and B). Pad and MegaDrive can be remade by cutting out the multiplexing chip and re-soldering buttons directly to the wires. PS; Maybe; nothing works for you, because... ports burned by short circuit young experimenters. I was like that myself in 1990.

Hello Surfin' Bird all the people figured it out - the ports were burned out (or rather, the input mikruhi) - replaced everything it works :) thanks everyone

Hello, m.d. I think that all the same, they burned the logic because the measurements showed 8-9 - negative potential and 9 - all the rest 5.06, on both ports but at the same time on port A when closed the cursor just goes to the ground and there is no reaction at all to B

Hello, geners gen> the first thing I did was look at the pinout of segf and msx - I did it - gen> is unpasted, the cursor just goes to the lower right corner and that's it Yes, indeed, +5V gets to SELECT (through a resistor in the MSX port), not matches the "generic" joystick from Sega MD2 and should not work correctly. I have Apparently SELECT is disconnected: when connected to MSX, the cross works and “A” is pressed :rolleyes; Try; alternately connect the wiring “common” (pin 9, lower right) to contacts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 (be careful with the 5th ;)). If there are no reactions on one or more will mean the reason is in the port.
