How to convert firmware files?

Hello, All Hello everyone! I received the first batch of not source codes, but simply firmware files. In particular, there are firmware for Turbine for Scorpio and firmware for Prof ROM. But! They are designed for old chips - EPM7064LC, and now only available EPM7064SLC. I called Altera technical support and they told me that towards later firmware chips are completely identical, and that the firmware from LC can be easily flashed in SLC. Naturally, I immediately tried it, but alas... That MAX2 and Quartus swore and They said they were incompatible. Hence the question of how you can convert the firmware from LC to SLC. Who knows? Or does anyone know how to get around this?
