Himac HR 42

Hello, Strunov I have two Spectrum-compatible computers: Scorpion ZS 256 Turbo and Himac HR 42.05 48K. Of course, it makes no sense to write about the first one - the brand is well-known, so I'll tell you about the second one. I have had Himac HR 42.05 from the Novosibirsk company Himac Research Ltd since 1993 (see. photo of the board in the attached ZIP archive). It still works today. Not once broke down (as did Scorpion). With the advent of Scorpion, I installed Himac at my work, and, in fact, this I type the text on it. :) The computer's features are: * 48K RAM and 32K ROM (Turbo 90 monitor and TR-DOS 5.03 are flashed),* disk controller with PLL for two disk drives,* music coprocessor AY-3-8910[i],* parallel printer port,* Kempston joystick port,* system connector (however incompatible with the proprietary [i]ZX),* the board size is the smallest of all disk computers I have seen - 235 x 75 mm due to the use of two custom I185 chips produced by the Novosibirsk Semiconductor Plant devices (in the photo these are microcircuits in white cases). In 2000, I connected the D100-M printer to this computer (though through the ports AY), which I already talked about on the Forum: Speccy is our choice! > ZX-Spectrum > Hardware > Working with the printer via the AY-3-891x input/output port(s) [http://www.zx.pk.ru/showthread.php?t=925].Of course, the car also has disadvantages: for example, curb effects suffer, because the /INT signal is generated at the wrong time relative to the frame being drawn; it's obvious on the test by Yu. Kovalevsky (see "Image"). Due to the fact that the entire architecture is made on I185, modifications are either complex or impossible. And yet I did do something: in the photograph between two more are visible between the keyboard and the main board - this is the keyboard buffer and amplifier power on transistors. Another complexity is created by our modern programmers. :) In recent years almost no programs are released that work at 48K (am I really the only one creating them now? programs with the ability to work in such a configuration?!).
