Hello, All
I know there were a lot of topics like this, so don’t kick too hard...
Well, the other day I read an article about zx-spectrums. I remembered my childhood...
I realized that I want zx-spectrum.
Now the question is: which spec is better to take? As I understand it, not all specs are possible
upgrade...
In general, I would like to know which spec is better to buy, so that later there will be
the ability to upgrade it...(I can hold a soldering iron in my hands)
By the way, it wouldn’t hurt to get some advice from articles on modifying specs (what and how you can
improve).
How much will this actually cost? How long will it take?
And in general, what do you advise me?

Hello, 6o6ep
I also decided to start - I ironed the Leningrad 1 board (the factory one was missing),
Soldered it, and got stuck on the RAM test - it says a malfunction of chips 1,4,7 at the address
6D00 written 01101101 - read 11111111.
The graphics test passes without distortion.
Maybe you can tell me where to dig - I’ve already changed the RUs to SIMM. But the malfunction is still the same.
Thanks in advance.

Hello, 6o6ep
Photos and much more are posted in the topic List of domestic Speccy hardware
[http://zx.pk.ru/showthread.php?t=255]
If you want to “constantly modernize”, then listen to fan’s advice,
which can be supplemented like this: buy for a bubble any clone that you can
get it in your area...
And if you want a lot at once, contact CHRV, he will help you competently
direct financial flows... ;)

Hello, Maksagor
Pentagon 128 - IMHO, the most “upgradable” computer with a soldering iron. His scheme
built on standard microcircuits without the use of flashable EPROMs, etc., circuits
full of extensions...

not far away, in Lysva. You just have to solder - you need a power supply and check the memory

Hello, do_se
uh, ComCom has already sold the spec (sort of), if it’s not new they brought it))) I then
whether I went on Monday or Sunday, I asked - they said they sold it
(just for 200)
Well, I somehow feel sorry for spending 2400... Although, of course I’ll think about it...
It is possible to get Delta-S; can it be improved?

Of course, financially it is better to take a used one. But firstly, it may not be working (even
most likely because it is already about 10 years old, and this is for hacky boards
quite a lot). Secondly, it is guaranteed not to have many extensions.
(a keyboard controller is unlikely to happen, a hard drive controller is also unlikely and
further down the AU-sound, floppy controller, memory expansion).
Of course, everything can be improved, but at the same time the probability of murder increases
board (don’t forget that it’s about 10 years old), secondly, search for exactly the circuit that
you have a clone (and there are just a lot of schemes from many of them). Secondly, the cost
modifications will exceed the cost of the purchased used computer. I'm keeping quiet about
mechanical keyboard condition.
This is what you will have to face when buying a used one.

Hello, CHRV
CHR> This is what you will have to face when buying a used one.
I will only add that there is all sorts of money to bring Leningrad to the state
at least 128 Pentagon will cost more than to buy a designer from Roman. I have
old spec 128+flop+AY, I also thought about upgrading, but really
Having assessed the financial possibilities and what would come of it, I decided to buy myself
Turbo... at least, watching the forum in the last six months it is clear that
Turbo is the only "living" clone....
PS I don’t want to hit a nerve with the owners of other clones....

The upgrade limit for any Spec depends only on the imagination of the upgrader :smile; .;
True, there will most likely not be programs that know about these upgrades... Or
you will write it yourself.
