EDO is an advanced FPM.
EDO does not require a 10ns delay between loading the address bus.

EDO is controlled by more or less a different method and has a register at the output,
storing the last byte read. Due to which it’s practically free
2x faster reading -- while RAS is installed for reading
next byte the output still contains the previous one, while
for FPM (Fast Page Mode - regular 565RU7) the output is active only while
CAS active. Details can be seen in the "Hardware Encyclopedia"
