you can use a ready-made driver for console joysticks, for example PPJoy
connect to the same lpt contacts as segovsky and it should work

Hello, IDma
here is the wiring:
┌─- code ───
\n
/------- --------* UP
|
| \n
+------- --------* DOWN
|
| \n
+------- --------* LEFT
|
| \n
+------- --------* RIGHT
|
| \n
+------- --------* FIRE
|
|
-----------------* +5V
└── code ───
connect to the LPT port, GND is there, and connect UP...FIRE to either D0..D4 or
/ERR, /PAPER_OUT, etc. (however, there will be inversion)
if you connect to D0...D4, don’t forget to switch the LPT port to ECP mode.
However, there is a problem with the drivers - you will have to write them yourself.
download DDK and go.

Hello, All
I heard that you can connect joysticks from SonyPlayStation, Sega and Nintendo to
PC, I saw articles on the Internet.
Is it possible to connect a Kempston joystick to a PC? That would be great! :)
People! Please!
Post the wiring diagram for the Kempston joystick and information about the drivers, etc.
similar.

Hello Eltaron
yes I'm joking ^_~
Why connect a Kempston joystick (either in the form of buttons, which is not
necessary, or in the form of a stick that breaks off after a couple of hours of active
use).
and especially since all the pussy joysticks (not gamepads, but joysticks)
They transmit not just up/down, but X/Y coordinates.
I saw somewhere a circuit that “emulates” this, but IMHO it’s easier for a couple of bucks
find a normal joy in the trash heap.

Hello Sinus
Finally, there is no Kempston joystick in nature, but there is such an interface ;)
I don’t remember the wood for pop (Spectrum-comodoro-atarevo-amizh) joysticks,
maybe it will really work like Segov’s (on LPT).
But you can convert it to a writing interface without much hassle. There is
circuit diagram (at the end) http://sblive.narod.ru/RCforPC/RCforPC.htm, you will need six
transyuk 50 kOhm, and two transyuk KT3107(Zh). Thus, I remade the corporate
Seg's joy, when I got tired of periodically changing it with the printer: D
ZY You don’t need any exotic firewood, everything is in Windows.
