External controller for IDE CD-ROM drive.
This development allows the use of a standard IDE CD-ROM drive (included
today included in almost any computer) as a standalone
CD player. The elements included in the controller circuit are
are not in short supply and their cost is low.
So here are the materials related to this development:
documentation and diagram for the controller in PDF format.
Latest firmware (version 1.21).
Sources of this firmware.
Frequently asked questions about the controller.
Description of the ATAPI interface.
Description of IDE CD-ROM commands (author Konstantin Horvatov).
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^(ES: anyone need it?)
Description of CD-Writera Hewlett-Packard commands (many additional commands).
Diagram and description of modification of the controller to ensure the possibility
remote control.

Well, it's time to wrap things up. I went to code. Eugene
