Hello, All
I don’t know which music processor to choose. Which is better in terms of sound quality? By price?
By connection?

Hello, key-jee
In my opinion, Roma can get both of them :)
HO! there is a problem with AY for vehicles - it does not respond to A8/A9 which are used for
switching them to NedoPS-TS.

BYT> I don’t know which music processor to choose. Which is better in terms of sound quality?
BYT> By price? By connection?
AY IMHO sounds much nicer on the vast majority of Mouzons, but its
Now you can't get it anywhere. :(
YM sound is too sharp and abrupt, although they say that it is technically more correct
sounds exactly YM.
Regarding connection - YM has the ability to divide the clock in half internally
yourself. That is you can simply take the 3.5 MHz clock from the CPU without additional
divider No benefit, just a more elegant solution.

Hello BYTEMAN
BYT> Why???
The Chinese have warehouses full of Yamahas (I don’t even remember right off the bat who AY
produced..)
BYT> What is the difference between 8910 and 8912?
8910 - the pinout coincides with the 40-pin Yamaha 2149, and the 8912 is 28-pin and without
one external port

AU were produced by GI (now called MicroChip and famous for microcontrollers
PIC).
The Chinese also have AU, but they are significantly more expensive!
