Hello, All I'm trying to assemble all the logic including RAM and ROM on an altera cyclone.. All that remains to be taken out is the percent and vg-shka. no one tried with static RAM work???

From Sergei Prokaev To All 20 December 2005

Hello icebear ice> Cyclone - not too much? Look at the topic "Question about memory". What about DRAM ice> not satisfied? Just.. :-) but how many additional things can be added and all without modification boards... As for the dram, the cyclone has a sram inside, and it doesn’t have very many legs... only 240 :-) in my version. EP1C12Q240C6 it is installed on my board evaluation kit

Hello, serg.ne@ ser> I'm trying to assemble all the logic including RAM and ROM on an altera cyclone.. ser> All that remains to be taken out is the percent and the vg-shka. no one tried with ser> do static RAM work??? Cyclone - not too much? Look at the topic "Question about memory". What is DRAM not Are you satisfied?

From Andreas Kaiser To All 20 December 2005

Hello, serg.ne@ ser> How to use sram in speccy... I’m all about the Cyclone ser> I see..... ser> but I can’t understand how it will work in speccy.... In what sense "how will it work"? If you need a SRAM wiring diagram to the Spectrum, then look in the topic "Question about memory." Based on this scheme you can make your own using Cyclone's Block RAM. By the way, I made the filling for the Cyclone circuit input or described?

From Andreas Kaiser To All 20 December 2005

Hello, serg.ne@ ser> Exactly.. :-) but how much you can add additionally and all without ser> reworking the board... What is true is true. ser> As for dram, the cyclone has sram inside, but it doesn’t have much legs ser> a lot... ser> only 240 :-) in my version. EP1C12Q240C6 it is on my board ser> evaluation kit installed Wait, the question was how to use SRAM Cyclone or how to use SRAM at all? If the first, doesn’t Altera have a corresponding AppNote on its website?

From Andreas Kaiser To All 20 December 2005

Hello, serg.ne@ ser> Emulating the z80 is too much, cost inc has ready-made solutions, but ser> it costs under $10,000, but if it were, I would gladly ser> shoved it there. Well then you have a direct route to www.opencores.org, there are already two cores - T80 and Wishbone HP Z80. It will fit 100% into the Cyclone along with the rest of the circuit.

From Kamil Karimov To All 20 December 2005

Hello, serg.ne@ ser> And another option: for example, take ATMega 128 with external memory 64K and ser> make a computer similar to the Spectrum, at least it will be ser> emulation, but the whole spectrum is in a matchbox..... The whole problem is ser> firmware, but what to do with it  Write :)

From Sergei Prokaev To All 20 December 2005

Hello, CHRV CHR> Extremely expensive solution! CHR> And the deposit is external or also emulated. CHR> CHR> Regarding controllers, it’s better to take some kind of AWP7 from the internal one CHR> memory... THIS will really be in your pocket. Emulating the z80 is too much, cost inc has ready-made solutions, but it’s worth it under $10,000, but if it were, I would gladly stuff it there. As for armatures, they are definitely expensive and not very convenient. and as for cheapness, it’s not that expensive, and if you already have a board, then why not suffer...

From Chunin Roman To All 20 December 2005

Hello, serg.ne@ Not a cheap solution at all! And the deposit is external or also emulated. Regarding controllers, it’s better to take some kind of ARM7 with internal memory... HERE will really be in your pocket.

The whole problem is ser> firmware, and what to do with it It seems to me that the whole problem with AVRs is that the AVR code is only on the crystal can be executed, and everything else is done by the interpreter (so to speak :)). What to do with everyone else speck with iron?

The Sprinter 2000 turned out to be a super thing, it’s a pity that it The Peterses screwed up their business.

From Andreas Kaiser To All 21 December 2005

Hello spensor spe> I forgot about TV80. True, if you thoroughly “walk” through the network, then spe> you can probably find a dozen Z80-like cores. Indeed. Well then, as many as three cores. By the way, there is also a commercial core Z180.
