At work I was converting 20 ATX blocks from Colorsit 400 U-SCE, to 12 volts with
current of 40 amperes at peak, rewinding the transformer, tearing out all components
from outputs 3.3V, 5V, etc. reworked voltage monitoring. They showed
excellent characteristics when working under load - a stand with radio tape recorders and
amplifier to combat peak overloads, of which there are many at a time
turning on the unit and charging all connected equipment, as well as at the moment
powerful consumption from the amplifier, I used circuit refinements... the blocks work
for 3 years now, 12 hours a day, only the fan needs to be cleaned once a year and
that's it!
..For Spectrum you don’t even need to rewind the winding, just redo the tracking
for voltage, it is started from 3.3 volts plus 5 volts, but you just need 3.3
disconnect and switch to 12 volts, selecting matching resistors.... in

As for the fan, if the current consumption is up to 2-3 amperes, it will not be required,
But it’s still advisable to install a 12 volt resistor at about 100 ohms

I didn't bother to rip it out.
I just “strangled” it - I took a powerful variable resistor... I unscrewed it to
condition so that the propeller “just spins”, locks the rezuk - sticks it in
permanent.
Now my propeller spins at 200 revolutions per minute.
You can’t hear it at all, but the air moves slightly.

I didn’t rip out the propeller, but soldered it to 5 volts - it’s completely inaudible,
spins slowly.

Not everyone starts at five volts.
There's a chip there too.
Then it’s easier to take +5 and +12 and power it from them, without land....
12-5=7 volts. Almost everyone starts from such tension.

otherwise I’ve been paranoid ever since I plugged the auto regulator into the power supply
fan speed, it turned into a smoke bomb. but that was at the PC
