Hello,GriV so right there one bit I checked, it says FF,FF,FF...,FF, then something made up of ones and zeros, then 00.00,..,00 and some zeros and ones. In fact, by slightly rewriting the player, you can keep only dT of constant sign, but the frequency will apparently drop. (Well, that’s how it is on my simple player, at least :v2_rolleyes)

Hello TomCaT Yes, there is a sound in a four-bit version on 2 kb. The player with Zemfira is what you need. The principle seems to be that after 1 is fed into the speaker it starts move. After an idle period of 4...256*4 cycles (depending on the required amplitude) we output 0 again and the speaker goes down.

Hello, rasmer Wav from the inside (Cool Edit 2.0 program) looks like a sequence of levels signal, i.e. voltage on the electric magnet of the speaker (as I understand it). Most The correct way to do this is simply to replace the places where the signal decreases with 0, and places where it increases by 1 for the ZX speaker (for AY everything is different, there you can directly output the 4 most significant bits of the source WAV to the volume register, first by turning on digital playback mode on 1 of the channels). The quality problem is waste of RAM, because uncompressed WAV 44khz 8bit 1channel is 1 second, occupying at least 44 kbytes! Compressed formats waste CPU time on unpacking. In a word, without DMA the ZX has poor prospects in digital audio, No matter how much you increase its RAM.
