I even have it... but for MSX
11/29/2004 1:33:38 AM, Thenn
Same percentage, Z80

Tell me, this TCP/IP is, in principle, enough for files to be processed without any hassle
Throw it through the Internet?
11/29/2004 1:33:59 AM, Thenn
but the system...
11/29/2004 1:35:28 AM, Thenn
tcp/ip is just a communication and packet transfer protocol. and ftp is built on top of it,
http, email, etc.
11/29/2004 1:35:58 AM, KIA
Well, I think the craftsmen there are already building an ftp server.
11/29/2004 1:36:03 AM, KIA
This will be cool!
11/29/2004 1:36:10 AM, KIA
Servers on the internet on Spectrum!!
11/29/2004 1:36:17 AM, Thenn
Well, why a server?
11/29/2004 1:36:37 AM, Thenn
at least clients
11/29/2004 1:36:47 AM, KIA
Well, what about your own pages?
11/29/2004 1:36:56 AM, Thenn
http IMHO screw it
11/29/2004 1:37:08 AM, KIA
Let with a couple of html tags in total. but still!
11/29/2004 1:37:32 AM, Thenn
why do they need tags?
11/29/2004 1:37:38 AM, Thenn
telnet is better
11/29/2004 1:38:16 AM, KIA
What is this, like bbsok?
11/29/2004 1:38:46 AM, Thenn
telnet is a terminal protocol
11/29/2004 1:38:52 AM, Thenn
text there, text back
11/29/2004 1:38:59 AM, KIA
Clearly, exactly - bbs.
11/29/2004 1:39:12 AM, Thenn
everything else depends on what you connect to
11/29/2004 1:39:44 AM, Thenn
I can connect to port 21 and enter FTP commands
11/29/2004 1:40:04 AM, Thenn
without any ftp client
11/29/2004 1:40:13 AM, KIALet there be telnet, but hypertext won’t hurt either
11/29/2004 1:40:21 AM, KIA
Let them look from their pussies.
11/29/2004 1:40:27 AM, KIA
:-)
11/29/2004 1:40:32 AM, Thenn
or to port 25, and enter commands for working with mail :)
11/29/2004 1:40:34 AM, KIA
What should we call the project?
11/29/2004 1:40:41 AM, KIA
Mail is great.
11/29/2004 1:41:00 AM, KIA
It’s this specific connection with the outside world that the spektrumists definitely lack.
11/29/2004 1:41:08 AM, Thenn
and about the web... someone did this:
11/29/2004 1:41:54 AM, Thenn
you log into the shell of some Unix server via telnet
11/29/2004 1:42:14 AM, KIA
Next I know.
11/29/2004 1:42:17 AM, KIA
:-))
11/29/2004 1:42:17 AM, Thenn
there you launch lynx (there is such a browser)
11/29/2004 1:42:32 AM, Thenn
and climb calmly...
11/29/2004 1:42:41 AM, KIA
;-)
