From Wladimir Bulchukey To All 23 July 2005

Hello(s), All...! Emulation VG93, (c) Maxagor === Cut === Speccy is our choice! http://zx.pk.ru Events and people Events Released ROM with VG93 emulsion! 22-07-2005, 21:40 Maxagor Released ROM with VG93 emulsion! 07/22/2005. This day will go down in history... Today, June 22, 1941, at 4 o'clock in the morning... Ugh! Today, July 22, 2005, well, not at 4 morning, of course, and a little later (hours, like, 7-8 am, after sleepless night) was completed one of the longest, but at the same time the most promising, ambitious and expected projects on ATM, and maybe (let others decide) on general Spectrum. The eXtra BIOS firmware for ATM-turbo 2+ was completed, containing a long-advertised emulator 1818VG93, software interception of access to memory ports (for the first time on Spec there is a semblance of protected mode!), support working with external modules and much, much more. The firmware is made in the form of two modifications - xBIOS v.1.32LE (Light Edition) - lightweight, for 64Kb ROM, for those who do not have the opportunity to flash a larger one microcircuit. But you have to pay for everything - as a result we get fewer features, functions, as well as the inability to further expansion and improvement. Development of this version stopped.xBIOS v1.32XT (eXTended) - basic, for ROM 128Kb and higher (up to 1024Kb). Full set of all functions, open architecture (the ability for the user to independently add free ROM pages modules of our own design with subsequent work with them through the start menu). This system will continue to develop, but based on the principle of compatibility from bottom to top. In addition, work is currently underway to transfer emulator VG93 on Pentagon-1024SL (which, of course, can transfer. For example, if there is no memory manager there and hidden ports it is impossible to implement protected mode). The firmware itself (both LE and XT) along with documentation for it is located here: http://atmturbo.narod.ru/download/s...ms/xbios132.zip A separate book with documentation (yes, a whole book of descriptions it worked!) for those who don’t need the firmware itself (well, not yet ATM guys!) can be downloaded here: http://atmturbo.narod.ru/inf/books/nedopc/xbiosdoc.zip The XUTILITIES v1.01 utility package I wrote for xBIOS for working/launching TRD images from a hard drive from the CP/M OS environment lies here: http://atmturbo.narod.ru/download/c...ls/xutls101.zip A brief description of it is here: http://atmturbo.narod.ru/download/c...tils/xutils.htm However, keep in mind that the posted book will still be updated(it is planned to redraw the illustrations more efficiently, rather All that remains to be done is catching typos and bugs). So updates xBIOS will be there. Utilities for firmware And the ROM project itself is not closed at all. We still have lots of ideas! In the meantime, I express my deep gratitude to Yura ukms[z] for titanic work done! ================= Two more megaprojects are also on the verge of completion: Adaptation for ATM-turbo 2+ OS iS-DOS Chic as well as creation on based on the iS-DOS-compatible OS TASiS, working with text ATM console. I'll tell you a secret that these systems are already installed on my ATM on a hard drive, but about to be published as complete distributions are not yet ready. As they say, COMING SOON... That's all for today. I look forward to your responses and congratulations! __________________ Maksagor, NedoPC group PC ATM-turbo 2+ [ZX rulezzz 4reva!!!] === Cut === With the best - Wlodek # wlblack(@)newmail.ru # http://wlodeks.narod.ru [ZX] [500:95/462@ZXNet] [2:5016 Forever] [Golyanovo] [Old Russians]
