Sometimes I load GLUC53 there, and sometimes RC 1.96, there is a special loss in compatibility
not observed....

So BASIC-48 can be replaced with Amstrad's "unofficial plus 4" with
non-standard
location of the keys (more suitable for PC keyboards IMHO) and more convenient
editor.
A lot of programs also work fine...
