open trdos ports
ZXNet echo conference «code.zx»
From Oleg Dokukin → To All 21 February 1999
Hello All!
Does anyone have a HDD driver for open ports for isdos?
If you have one, throw it at me.
Now we remade it with Rulez hdd tskhesk for open ports and got
quite a good result: 270 meters completed in 14 minutes
graphic analyzers and output of a lot of information on the process
and 5 minutes without graphics and information.
By the way, does anyone have any info on the mod - how to test it and
all that stuff.
With best wishes, Oleg Dokukin. aka Light - D.C.G.

OG>> Well, I have it... It's raw. And there is no tuner for it. Hand-
OG>> how will you enter the bytes?
OD> well, if it itself works normally, then why not enter it.
Normal. But will it work for you?
OD> just explain in a popular way what and where .
I'll correct something and throw it into the echo - the tuner will break me -
sat.
OD>>> very good result: 270 meters can be reached in 14 minutes
OD>>> graphical analyzers and output of a bunch of information about the process
OD>>> and 5 minutes without graphics and information.
OG>> What kind of check?
OD> the old version is on the bbs (the file is called something like "hddcheck"),
Made me happy. I haven’t downloaded software from Bibies for who knows how long
time. I only call if there's something wrong with the echoes...
OD> but it only checks and if it finds bads it writes text like:
OD> head/sector/cylinder, and besides, it was only for closed ones
OD> ports.
Why? Isdos has its own, but what's the use of trdos?
OG>> Forget it. In our case, there’s no need for it. Acceleration is minimal OG>> but it will be.
OD> it's not about acceleration, but about the ability to use large screws.
The ide interface limit is 128 gig. Tales about 10-bit
Let the new register cylinder go to the write bios.
OD> by the way, a quick question: how to determine the total length of a sector?
OD> there should be some kind of inter-sector gaps there.
The length of the sector is the length of the sector. 512 bytes. Intersector-
These intervals have nothing to do with it. What do you need-
before? Number of formatless bytes per cylinder? Number of bes-
format bytes per sector? The screw itself speaks about this.
