So it’s LBA, that is, just a long number like a block number. There's nothing there
paint.
And the drive registers are so stupid:
Sector register -- bits 0..7.
The low register of the cylinder is bits 8..15.
Cylinder high register -- bits 16..23.
Device/head number -- bits 24..27.
The older the address, the more significant bits are in that register.
