From Felix Knajzev To Michael Kondratyev 16 June 1998

Greetings, Michael! I was pleasantly surprised to download NEW software _under iS-DOS_ for my beloved :) Hayes!!! (Downloaded from Gruzdev) Here are the reviews: I haven’t tested the “spitter”, but there are problems with the “sucker”! :( It slows down terribly. Messages constantly appear in the window: "Data CRC error", "Header CRC error", and some more. :( Same problems as with "irza0505.com"... :( At the end of receiving the file, I still couldn’t wait for the message to appear “The reception is completed” (I don’t remember how in English, but in irza0505 it came out!) That is. when the entire file has already been received, then in the window the next one comes out :) "...error", and in the Retry field the values only 0 and 1 change (i.e. 0,1,0,1,0, etc.). The port was locked to 2400 (my modem, if you remember, is 2400/no MNP). "Iron" is mine It has nothing to do with it, everything is already debugged! Your terminal I download it with a bang with X-Modem. By the way, in Melon v1.79a with the same _Z-Modem_(!) I ALSO rock it with a bang! As I understand from the program, you decided not to use NMI? After all Melon also works without interruptions, and downloads with Z-Modem EXCELLENT! And one more thing. From missing characters in your terminal (where NMI enabled), when the modem is in command mode, I "hardware" like this and didn’t get rid of it, although in the same Melon (without NMI) - everything is OK! What wishes: For the "spitter" IMHO it would be great to mark the files for transfer DIRECTLY IN THE PANEL, WITH THE CURSOR, and you can leave .Log. Both in the “sucker” and in the “spitter” at the end of the reception (transmission)the file "terminal.com" would be launched. In general, IMHO, rewrite the terminal ;) where are the exchange protocols? files were called by the “cursor-arrows”, and the “spitters” themselves / "suckers" were loaded as overlays. (The best option, IMHO) Don't forget us, the happy owners of Hayes :), bring us to the working state of Z-Modem for iS-DOS, otherwise this Melon in TR-DOS, damn it... :( Best regards, Felix!
