Hello, lvd which up to the ball on generally incompressible files gave a working algorithm an increase of only three bytes [actually a little less] (-8 and the the compression table from there took two and a few kopecks - and exactly 1 bit the sequence added to the compressed file by the packer is exactly the same control sequence. So it really just depends on the type of packer you're using.
