New on the site: A new version of the utility package for xBIOS has been released - XUTILITIES v1.12, old version v1.01 removed. The most important novelty of this package - a new version of the TRDEXE.COM utility, which implements interactive mode, return from vTR-DOS by resident, as well as other functions. Read more about all the innovations in the package in the attached description. From other updates: How useful it can be to sit down with an assembler! Only thanks to direct practice, it was possible to identify inaccuracies in description of ATM memory configuration in CP/M mode (roaming docks since the time of MicroART) in the book "TURBO2+. Internal architecture and external devices", as well as inaccuracies in the description functioning of the resident in the book "xBIOS: Description of firmware eXtra BIOS v1.32". All documentation has been corrected and uploaded to the website at the same addresses. More information: Lately people have been asking me when we will finally will we see operating systems for ATM - iS-DOS Chic and TASiS? Yes and do they exist in nature?I answer - they exist in nature, moreover, they stand on my screw (currently there are four operating systems - CP/M, TASiS, iS-DOS Chic, iS-DOS Classic. Each one is worth the other). In one of the nearest updates I plan to post screenshots of TASiS. The cores of these two systems are almost complete, although microscopic changes are still possible. Formation is now in full swing distribution, debugging, improvement and acceleration of drivers, Documentation and new utilities are being written (primarily for xBIOS). I’m also mastering some of the system’s features myself - first just install it on a disk and a screw. It would be stupid to post a system that you yourself don’t fully understand? Until then I'm still not master until the formation of a full-fledged distribution kit (and not just a half-baked FDI image) and is not written minimal documentation (at least for installation on a screw and for basics of OS configuration), people will not see the system.
