From Eugene Stahov To All 3 November 2000

Hello, All. Damn, I finally decided to change the interface of my debugger (after all, I got hooked on SoftICE :) in the new version, most likely everything will be rewritten and shoveled. Perhaps there will be a new debugger for people. I'll also think about support of the Frolov zxmmu scheme. =8<= Cut here [STD3.TXT] === bc=0000 de=0000 hl=0000 af=0000 sz5h3vnc T=123456 TR-DOS bc'0000 de'0000 hl'0000 af'0000 -------- im2 di P=00/00 ix=0000 iy=0000 pc=0000 sp=0000 ir=0000 isr=0000 L=1 S=1 CODE 00/00 TR-DOS ]───── 8000 2100C0 ld hl,C000 │ (FFFF) 8003 ED5BF45C ld de,(5CF4) │ 0000 8007 010508 ld bc,0805 │ 0000 800A CD133D call 3D13 ;Read sectors │ 0000 800D FDCB03FD set 7,(IY+03),L │ 0000 8011 00 nop │ 0000 8012 DD00 nop* │ 0000 8014 00 nop │ 0000 8015 00 nop │ 0000 8016 00 nop │ 0000 ── WATCH ─────────────────────────── ─────────────────────────── 0.00:3F00 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 01234567 @@hl+100 00/00 B-128 ]─────3F00 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 01234567 3F00 3130 3332 3534 3736 3938 3B3A 3D3C 3F3E 3F00 012345678.THIS IS SIMPLY TEXT ST ─────────────────────────────── ──────────────────────────────── Break point at 05:C023 :_ H for help CAPS 00:00 =8<= Cut here === A small explanation: entering commands through the console, command history, possibility window resizing, mouse, logging, hexadecimal default. Perhaps (albeit a hefty question mark), a controller will be developed hardware debugging - interrupting programs by: - execution of code in a specific memory area (including a page) - access to the area (read/write) - access to ports - execution of a specific instruction - personnel interruption In general, for any given tire event. ZZH Who has used SoftICE will understand me. I'm two hours away, with virtually no experience in programming/hacking Asm-x86 under win, I broke it out of the program I needed a way to generate serial numbers (by the way, very lame). Well, it's time to wrap things up. I went to code. Eugene

Hello, Kirill. 03 Oct 00 23:42, you wrote to me: ES>> A small explanation: entering commands via the console, command history, ES>> ability to resize windows, mouse, logging, ES>> hexadecimal system by default. KF> Here's another idea - logging all system calls with registers KF> and breakpoints. If you debug something in real time, then this is irreplaceable KF> thing! Well, of course, I also want (on computers with bells and whistles like Kesh 64k) to throw in the log in particular tr-dos system calls for 3d13, 3d2f... By the way, how do people look at the abolition of the prefix # before hexadecimal numbers with the default hexadecimal system? i.e. #1B -> 1B #B0 -> B0 10 -> 10T or .10 but entering the prefix # and postfix H will still be acceptable. IMHO, no one now practically uses decimal when debugging system. ES>> Perhaps (albeit a big question mark), it will be developed ES>> hardware debugging controller - interrupting programs by: - ES>> code execution in KF> Is this a PLM to hang on the processor bus? Well, yes, some kind of alter with the ability to program on the fly, or inordinary program "debug registers" or RISC processor megahertz by 80 :) KF> That's why I picked it up. And if it’s actually done, then only KF> by selection and no debugger will help. :-( Well then you can just try to nail the check. Well, it's time to wrap things up. I went to code. Eugene
