Introduction At the festival of computer creativity "ParaDiGMus 2002" there will be works are presented for the following platforms: - PC, - ZX Spectrum. Festival nominations: - PC DEMO, - PC GRAPHICS, - PC MUSIC, - PC VIDEO, - ZX DEMO, - ZX GRAPHICS, - ZX GAMES. 1. Date, time, place, etc. The festival will take place on May 19, 2002 in the building of the Moscow Regional Pedagogical College, Serpukhov, st. Firsova, d.5. Preliminary cost of participation: 30 rubles. (for girls - free) Preliminary cost of visit: - for children - 10 rubles. - for students (on presentation of a student card): - for boys - 20 rubles. - for girls - 10 rubles. - for others - 40 rubles. 2. General provisionsRules that are required of all visitors: - Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. - It is not advisable to bring food and drinks to the festival. - It is prohibited to litter. - It is prohibited to be drunk at the festival, bring and drink alcoholic beverages. - Access to equipment is possible ONLY with permission and under supervision of the organizers. - All PARTICIPANTS must pre-register, by filling out the forms. 3. Competition works All works must be delivered to the organizing committee no later than than 5 days before the start of the festival. It is advisable to submit the work in advance to check them on the organizers’ computers (this point is important not so much for the organizers as for the authors of the works themselves). Work can be submitted in one of the following ways: - By e-mail with the subject Festival, addresses are given below. - By regular mail - On floppy disks, HDD or CD personally in the hands of the organizers. Delivery of work on the day of the festival is allowed only in in exceptional cases and only no later than two hours before the beginning of the festival. The presence of the author of the work or his representative is desirable. One person cannot represent the work of different groups or authors, not included in the same group. Works that do not have a representative may also take part in the competition, but they do notparticipate in the distribution of prizes. Works with obscene content will not be shown. 4. Competitions -=PC=- PC DEMO nomination: General requirements: - system: - Celeron-633, - 128Mb RAM (550Kb low mem), - Creative SB Live / Aureal Vortex2 - ASUS V7100 (GEFORCE 2), - Windows 95 / Win95 DOS window; - “pure” animation is prohibited; - maximum 2 works from the author; - work should be completed by pressing Esc and after set time. - maximum 10 minutes; - archive size (zip, rar) with demo is no more than 10Mb. PC MUSIC nomination: General requirements: - maximum duration - 4 minutes; - file size no more than 5Mb; - maximum 2 works from the author; - no more than 30 works will be shown. Tracker music: - Formats: standard ProTracker MOD, S3M, IT, XM. - compositions must be played correctly by the player XMPlay23; MP3 Music Compo: - Preferably VBR. PC GRAPHICS nomination: Requirements: - maximum size 800x600 pixels; - scanning is not allowed; - to confirm the origin of the paintings, the authors must provide for Hand-drawn graphics - 1-2 intermediate phases, for others - source files (if the volume is > 8MB - bring it with you (CD, HDD)) preferably - PSD, MAX, CDR; - no mention of the author (logos, etc.) is allowed;- all graphic works will be shown twice; - maximum 2 works from the author; - it is also desirable to have an option to work with the author’s logo for subsequent distribution; - no more than 20 works will be shown; - file format - TIFF, JPEG. PC VIDEO nomination: - To confirm the origin of the videos, the authors must provide the source files (if the volume is > 8MB - bring it with you (CD, HDD)) preferably - MAX; - DIVX 4.0 - 5.0; - no more than 10 Mb; - no more than 10 minutes; - maximum 2 works from the author. -= ZX Spectrum =- Nomination ZX DEMO: General requirements: - System: - ZS Scorpion 256 / Kay256, - Ay, - TR-DOS 5.04; - after the specified time, the program should run be completed; - all work must be in TR-DOS without protection; - works are accepted in SCL, TRD, hobet format; - works on regular TR-DOS disks are crushed; - maximum size - 1 TR-DOS disk; - maximum 10 min. ZX GRAPHICS nomination: - 2 works from the author maximum; - transferred from other platforms or scanned graphics; - standard screen 6912 bytes; - no more than 30 works in total. Nomination ZX GAMES (ZX Spectrum Game compo): - all works must either work in demo mode, or demonstrated by the authors or their representatives;- the game should occupy no more than 1 disc; - automatically end no later than after 5 minutes after launch. 5. Determination of winners The winners of each competition are determined based on the results voting by visitors who can rate each of the works on a 10-point scale or refrain from rating. Final performance evaluation is calculated as a trimmed average (i.e., rarely any assessments encountered will not be taken into account). In case of a large number of visitors, registration is not guaranteed of all assessment sheets, however, at least half will be taken into account, and their random selection is guaranteed. 6. Prizes It is expected that prizes will be awarded to the winners in each nominations, in particular, licensed software from SYMANTEC. All winners will receive official certificates. Notes: - works that take last place in their category are not awarded competition; - when distributing valuable prizes for works that no one represents are ignored. Prizes and certificates by mail are not are expelled. 7. Registration To register, you need to fill out the necessary forms and send them to one of the contact addresses listed below. Each VISITOR is recommended to fill out a visitor questionnaire. This and only this form automatically reserves a ticket for you (if available).Forms for the competition work, group and participant are filled out according to one for each work, group and participant, respectively. 8.
