Abzac  ·  1 April 2007
This issue is dedicated to the memory of Vlad Sotnikov (Vega), one of the most respected members of the ZX Spectrum community, while also covering the major developments of the 2006 Spectrum scene. Alongside news about the Your Game 3 contest, new software projects, and activities in the Belarusian and Russian communities, the magazine reflects on Vlad's contributions to demoscene festivals, ZXNet, and the spirit of the Spectrum community. Additional features cover the Computer Art 2006 seminar, international cooperation with the Italian Spectrum scene, and an interview with programmer Alexander Sinyakov (SAM style). The technical section focuses on improving ZX Spectrum performance and expanding its capabilities. It presents techniques for high-speed graphics output using the Z80 processor, instructions for connecting the Nemo IDE controller to Profi computers, and discussions of modern software development practices. The issue also features reviews of classic games, an analysis of the rise of casual gaming, community classifieds, and an editorial honoring Vlad Sotnikov while looking ahead to the Your Game 3 competition.
