ZQ1 - a buzzer alarm.
Q1 - quartz for CMOS'a.
-ON/OFF Signal can be used to
circuits turn on your computer.
Signal-CLR I connect to the circuit +5 v, but
It can also apply for entry-RESET
computer. If on-CLR send a signal to
O-IRQ, then after a period specified by
RC-chain will be reset CMOS'a. This
fact can be used to stop the clock.

In applying the DS1287 (DALLAS'a as her
called), I recommend also to install
between its conclusion 24 (Ucc) and 12 (GND)
blocking capacitor of 47
up to 100 uF.

Why should I apply it
These values - is "know how" of the author. We
, on the other hand, believe that enough capacitor though not
so great capacity (0.1 - 1.0 uF), but high, for example, KM,
K10-17, as "electrolytes", because of its inductance,
high-frequency component is not filtered.
From the perspective of a programmer, CMOS

Registers # 00 - # 09 are internal
RAM for storing the values
time (current and alarm clock) - from seconds - before the days
of the week, month and year.
Registers # 0A - # 0D are service and
contain the information necessary for the clock - setting
values, flags, interrupts and reliability of the information.
Registers # 0E - # 3F - external RAM read / write random
information. So use them as you wish.

flash ROM.
Run the CMOS using a special program or properly load
registers (of the STS, for example).
