Now we will try to make a little analysis of musical works
presented at the recent Moscow International festival of
computer arts FunTop'98.
Preparations for the festival, many written
for electronic publications and ehokonferentsiyah.
Tried to make it better, but it turned out
as always. Popular wisdom says:
"Worst-first". That is what happened. C
It happens to everyone?
Lviv in the face of Steel Falcons especially
no luck: none of the works was not hit by
Festival. This is quite a long discussed in ZX.SPECTRUM. I, on
the other hand, can only wish the guys from this of luck at the
next Festival.
We must pay tribute to the organizers - with the festival
appeared in Lviv total one week after the FunTop'a.
Well, I tell you, after the first audition I had, literally,
my head spin go! Many rave and special effects, often
sounding out of place, but on higher frequencies, even ears of
little cuts. And most of all I "Finished off" a frequent
repetition of musical phrases.
It was then that I regretted not having had the digital music
at the Festival. Remember, long before FunTop'a, someone tried
to knock ehokonferentsiyah permission for digital music. But
organizers insisted insisted: digital music will not be - it
very easy to convert to other platforms, and it will not
authoring thing. Although convert - also was not easy.
After all, we must also make music
rang! And it's done - pens, pens! By the way, because there is
a possibility and convert the music into a format ProTracker'a.
Okay, let's all be on conscience of the organizers of the
festival - their opinion was decisive.
Often sounded effects created by the envelope generator. They
are inserted, anywhere: confused and without a brain - where
to do so. This music does not decorate, and especially - in the
rave. Such effects could be compared with the plasma in Demko:
good, but not always.
And once again return to the subject of rave. No sounds
he is on the Spectrum! Need for such a master,
but, alas, is not observed. Rave can try to do in digital mode,
but does not interrupt.
And instead of prison - I beg of musicians, preparing for the
future of the festival: write good old Mouzon, rave may not
sound good on the Spectrum! Spectrum (according to me) for this
purpose does not exist!
