NOTES sysop
About e-mail. Anticipating questions from some not
quite understandable people to an article in ONLINE-19, once
the points corresponding to:
1. The user himself selects the server with which it has
better communication and with whom he pleasant to work in your
address (ZX Net), after consultation with the sysop bear the
number of servers and their phone number.
2. This does not mean that the user "cuts off" from other
BBS! How it works - and keep working with absolutely any
server! However, all personal correspondence should be only
through "their" station, which you yourself have chosen. This
applies only the mail files.
3. You can also send a letter directly to the server that
specified in the NET-destination address. And with NET-address,
there is no need to score an absolutely all the servers of
their message, hoping that somewhere (if any) recipient at him
plucked.
What it does:
- Hierarchy gives the freedom to sysop (free time). Do not
to call all over Moscow in search of the addressee. Sysop
"fuses" e-mail files to your coordinator. If a recipient of its
network not, then the coordinator sends the files or city
coordinator to the station, as well as pass on - it is their
difficulty (unless, of course, the address entered correctly).
Thus, You work (in the mail for) only one BBS, sysop
only works with its coordinator, etc. That is ONLY
ONE CORRESPONDENT. All work with only one reporter, but the
file-letter reaches the addressee!
- Because the work is only on the single chain links, your
the text will read a limited number of people and he always
gets to whom addressed. Because such an arrangement
communication link such as: "Call hesitated and I forgot to
pass" would look ridiculous (if not dishonestly).
When transferring programs this trick will not work, since
1000 sectors - it is not 2-100.
In this case, you can send files directly to a friend
that BBS, where he is permanently assigned, but before sending
by sysop must leave the text that contains the attributes: "I,
Vacek (ZX Net: 095.xxxxxxx .. xxxxxxx) give the following
files: xxxxxxxx.B, xxxxxxxx.C subscriber ZX Net: 095: xxxxxxxx
.. xxxxxxxx your server. "After that, send text files to
programs.
Addressee, taking the program from the server, leaving the
same sysop file with the message that he took the programs and
files from the server can be removed.
Agree that poor communication between subscribers, this
option is not so bad after all?
It is even preferable for the post, than the transfer of
files chain, but only if you know exactly (from
Net-Address) that your correspondent lives on the particular
BBS.
And as much as, if not the disk, then for sure, "cataloging"
of the space freed on most BBS! User because it is more
convenient, reading the directory, find out where the title 20
files, than with a 100!
