Bytefall - Day Two
Disco-club "Cinderella" at Novosuschevsky was not so close

Since the Festival uzhalsya until one day admission ticket

Meanwhile, a team of organizers hung in the hall of a wide
screen projector. Find the place suitable for spectators, and

sat in silence alone or in groups of two or three people. There

Initially spun past demos - just for the background. Demos
were mostly Amiga. All pinned deme with dancing baby animals -
pure animation, but it is! On-demand viewers this DeMouy then

presence of whole, pass-through of the plot, whether it be a
nuclear war or ecological disaster ... Computer art is fighting
the evils of this world along with other, older, muses, and

By the time the first competitive show people in the room

organizers began a competitive display of works.

I will not describe in detail the work itself, as all the
same most of them are available for viewing or listening
on the Spectrum (except that mod-s - for General Sound-e). I
was very pleased with the wise subdivision, the alternation of
works of different genres: after each big demos a break for
five minutes or ten; graphic works were shown at the tender
music, and while playing music demonstrated the competitive
picture - voting in favor of a nomination, it was possible to
simultaneously adjust to the perception of the work of another
genre. In my opinion, this is good: made in this way in the
revival of some still tiring monotony of the flow of images or
stream Mouzon might well be considered a good solution of the
problems faced by the music contest on Fantope - problems all
the same tiring. And if you interfere with a parallel
demonstration to focus on the evaluation of entries - please do
not watch or listen to "superfluous", no one there does not

two-time demonstration of work - the first time to introduce a

future organizers of the Spectrum party. (Again looking ahead,

The music and graphics were pre-selected papers, dropped
out, of course, part of both. Schedule was divided into a paint

someone talking in a low voice ... At the scene, none of

... The audience was resting in a chair, the festival lasted
between tables and sofas, white swans cruised to the waitress
;-) with smiles on duty, removing filled ashtrays and replacing
them on the freshly ... No other dish they did not have to
clean up as aristocratic (which in the bar) prices scared away
all the hungry and needy, and bring with them was impossible.
But it seems not even whether such obstacles, it is unlikely to
Bytefall-e poured to the river of beer, so characteristic of
familiar events. Towards evening a smile gradually disappeared
from the lips of the bar employees, and eventually one of them
even quite abruptly asked sitting at one of the tables to make
room. We (I was among those evicted) immediately sat back
again, then the "stewardess" in silence planted on the table

evening, the festival gradually nearing completion, some people
quietly disappeared to an unknown destination ... Competition
Amiga and pisishnyh mod-s passed as an informal, after which
the audience invited to take voting cards. It was then that
people first reached the scene! BC-Schnick, perhaps, there was
very little because the announcement of the cancellation of
tenders for the BK did not cause any emotions. People lay in a
pile of leaves with their "voices" and headed for the door, he
heard: "Bytefall over, all thanks ...". Well, exactly how to
play in the theater: the action is over - it's time to go home!
The more so that the tender results, as announced, will be
somewhere next week. (At this point the results already
published, and we can congratulate the people familiar with the
successes: XPEh - 1 place in 32-channel mod-s, Visual / MS -
1 in the category "traditional music", MIC - quite an honorable
place in the four "alternative music", Terror / DR - 1 seat
drawn on the chart. Gold medals - in the studio! :)).
Visual / Magic Soft / Extreme
Hard to say, has become a Bytefall'99 event on the Amiga and
pisishnoy scene - better let the participants themselves and
the real experts will express their opinion about it. To me it
seemed - BF'99 passed as something ordinary. At the same time,
once people attend such events - which means they need.
Organizers their part performed exclusively with dignity, with
honor, breaking the force majeure (should have more than lofty
words to add!).
