Say what you like, but this summer a very eventful in
party'ynoy life. However, in our country, except enema
done through the ass, what we face on DI: HALT.
Initially, everything was uncertain - potsapalis organizers and
went nicely (read ZXpilot). Then everything looked rosy
- New competitions, rules, etc. And over all this
_kalom_ ...
However, first things first.
BeerManZ arrived in Dzerzhinsk about 8.30 am. Bay mouth
a bottle of beer, began circling around the college, not finding
no information where and when will "freeze";)
After some time to draw a comrade, whose nick we
unfortunately I do not remember, and led us to where gathered
future participants DH'99 - Eternity Industry, Proxima and
others. (MMA: Based on additional data known to me, unknown
companion was SPY / EI)
In person I knew only one of those present - Pyrodex'a / EI
(2 nd place in the PC 4k intro compo at CC'999), but this was
not obstacle for live communication. Revealed the following:
- Real time coders compo will not be
- There will be three computer monitors and _odin_
- Will be a cool sound
- As usual - lots of music, sea charts, and four demo
- Registration begins at 10:00
And registration began in 10 hours! As long as people
handed operation, TRiViAl DWaRF and incited me to create
DeMoDYiN final release, but then spat on that idea (and they
were right).
Suddenly, somehow immediately began GFX compo. Explicitly
or konverchennyh lapped the work was not much, but discussed
them in the main artists, I commented only familiar scenes.
Then moved to CHuNK_GFX. Here it was rampant conversions
so I do not remember. Generally, in my opinion,
HaRD_CoRE v2.61 is difficult to draw anything from scratch.
The next was 3CoLOuR_GFX compo. M-m-da-ah-ah-ah ... Of the
five work was four konverchennyh, and one exhibited in
CC'999, as usual, but then it was torn. We slightly
screwed up, as DWaRF brought me two files that make up its
Dragon'a, of which I have at night in black and white monitor
glued single and mixed up in some places the layers. Therefore
DRAGON actually does not look right. However, our work was done
on 80% of pens DWaRF'a than could be distinguished from other,
stupidly carried over from other platforms.
I'm looking forward to ASCii compo. Fucking thank you very
much Demiurg'u A $ H'u for MoDeRn_WoRd, because they produced
one awesome the flow of feces that have resulted. To be honest:
in addition to my work (IMPOSSBL) and NAPALM promotion had
nothing to watch. Of course, if someone does not agree, write

Somewhere in the middle of the compo viewer hanging, and we
heard as follows: "The remaining works will be shown in
BestView 2.8". I not slowed down yell: "What else BestView?"
and convinced organizers that they were wrong. The fact that

About MuSiC compo you tell TRiViAL, I allow myself only a couple
words:
- Remember the three works: TD VOL 1 (TRiViAL / BMZ) and MEHTb!
(Mm <M / Sage) - copyrights, and 100DNEY - a remix of "100 days
before order. "The rest of the music for me was like a medley of
"Pea soup rulez" and "pumts-vzhzh-wow";)
And then came a feast for the soul - DeMo_CoMPo!
The first demo - FRee_ArT, written VolGaSoFt'ami was old
More on CC'999. Second, MuSCaTe, middle, at the half. Third
DeMoDYiN pre - say nothing about this 16k intro:) And the last -
welcome LiFeFoRmS, renamed NaPaLM. This is
compo real job, it _valevo_, _mesivo_ and _kroshevo_ in
one bottle. Better to see once! Recommendations of the best

Of course, DI: HALT began chaotically. I (and not only me) do
not even interlayer, when the GFXcompo. Organizers there is
something tested, and then silently, without opening ceremony
began display graphics.
My impressions of the GFX coincide with the opinion
GoBLiN'a, so proceed to MuSiC compo. It began with the words
"Let's begin. Job Number 1. "Graphically, feature-rich player,
written by local "Coders" for the components, once refused to
play. Again for 2-3 minutes pause, followed by a bang from the
speakers. Finally all began. Pleasantly surprised by the second
thing

for Space-Jarre this style. That's cool!
TVL> Then went SUXX-MiX and I went to try nicotine

Where were the musicians - the authors of 11.4 tracks, I do
not know, I only guess. What to listen to - too. (Where were
those, and listened to), but almost all MuSiC compo was held in
two (k) anal. And under threat was DeMO compo. We had all the
time to sit in the hall and monitor the sound.
GBL> only when I'm tired of listening to the winners you prove

track!
TVL> Places were as remarkably fair, after all cards
voting "bought" only organizers, VoLGaSoFT, yes
PRoXiMa (on the strength of 15 people). (MMA: According to

GBL> now describe the results.
GFXcompo: black and white picture ErEiN KLaiNe won first
place. If the EC undressed near the mirror to yourself

refused to heart. Rather slop second place - a HUNTER. AND
the only decent thing, took third place.
However, a pity that PARACEL $ / EI in the number of winners
has not got.
3CoLoUr GFX: I've already said everything. If daily chew
BlendaMed, then your eggs will be strong. And if you cool to be
able to convert schedule - then the "components" you are among
the winners. EVERYTHING!
CHUNKgfx: Kucha shrieks from the center of the hall where we
sat, caused image rays. If you've seen FAREVYR / DR, then think
of the picture before greetings. So it was her black and white
version. The first place went to such _kalu_ that I can not
describe.
ASCii: I pay tribute to Ashe, but could be done and steeper, as
in its HeresY he unashamedly pulls a picture from pc-shnoy team
ACiD. Of the three NaPaLm promotion, in my opinion, was not
chosen the best.
MuZaK compo. In the first place - a set of sounds along the way
one from the organizers. Second place - if I'm not mistaken,
this is "Cops!". Third place was shared TaLeS oF My DReAM, "100
days before order "and even some odd job. (MMA: It's worth
noting that Results of all competitions except the demo compo,
treated quite differently by both the organizers and
participants.)
DeMo CoMpO - N0 CoMMeNtS.
Why did it happen? And this TRiViAL already said.
Now about prisuschschschih to party. From the outside it looked
like BMZ-EI hangouts. Rest of the people sat quietly and
watched / listened to. After CC'999 it was so wild!
About the way home I do not want to talk, still shudder.
